National Women's Day
9 August 2026

Today, South Africa commemorates the 70th anniversary of the historic 1956 Women’s March, when more than 20 000 courageous women marched to the Union Buildings in the fight for human rights, gender equality, and social justice.

Under this year’s theme, “Empowered Women Empower The Nation,” we honour the legacy of Lilian Ngoyi, Helen Joseph, Rahima Moosa, Sophia Williams-De Bruyn, and every woman who stood firm for a better South Africa.

At Unique Health, we recognise that women continue to be the backbone of healthcare in our communities. We greatly value and appreciate every legitimate project that trains, uplifts, and supports women in the medical industry, because investing in women is investing in the future of healthcare.

South Africans need all the qualified care they can get, and we remain committed to supporting:

  • Frail care patients
  • Medical professionals
  • Private citizens in need of professional home-based nursing

Through compassionate, professional nursing services, we strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the people we serve.

As we honour the past and look toward the future, we celebrate the women who care, heal, lead, and inspire every day.

To all the women of South Africa: we see you, we value you, and we thank you.
