Human Resources

The most important aspect of our business is our Human Resources; we have an extensive national database of medical personnel with different disciplines meeting client requirements. Our people give us the ability to deliver the diverse range of services nationally.

Our national Multi-Disciplinary Team is focused on identifying and preserving the health and wellbeing of our patients; therefore, we achieve optimal outcomes to sustain patient health, functionality and independence.

Our multi-disciplinary management team prides itself in developing affordable and innovative healthcare solutions tailor-made to the client’s needs. We are client focused and therefore operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year delivering healthcare services on a permanent or temporary basis.

Unique Health is a labour compliant company and make provision in costings for the full HR function which includes the overall Management and Administration of our Human Capital; including the registration and payment of all statutory levies; (i.e. Skills Development Levy (SDL), Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF), Workman’s Compensation (WCA), South African Revenue Service (SARS), etc.), Professional Indemnity Cover, all leave (i.e. Annual / Sick & Family Responsibility).

The screening and orientation process of UH staff prior to employment and / or placement

Unique Health only appoints appropriately medically trained and qualified nursing personnel that are registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC). Every effort is made to place nurses with focused disciplines according to client requirements.

Care Workers (Ancillary Health Workers who are also provided by UH at client’s request), are HWSETA trained and SAQA accredited.

All staff undergo a MIE criminal check, and nursing staff must write a test specific to their level of qualification and speciality prior to employment and placement obtaining a minimum of 65% pass rate. Appointed Employees are required to do on-site orientation prior to commencement of service.

Unique Health ensure provision of a “Locum” in the absence of an employee on any project due to any leave of absence whatsoever.

UH has an internal Compliance Team who conduct regular internal audits at each of our units, thereby ensuring compliance to both clinical as well as Company Policies, procedures and standards.
